Charity Living Paintings has released a new 3-D book about sustainable transport for blind and visually impaired children, thanks to a grant from Rees Jeffreys Road Fund.
Living Paintings offers a large library of books on a range of topics, enabling blind and visually impaired children to learn and explore the world around them.
Each book is accompanied by paper-based text document explaining concepts and images, as well as an audio book. The new book is designed for blind and partially sighted children aged 7 to 11 years old.
Feedback from young readers has been very positive: “Hey check out this new library book. You’ll like learning all about amazing self-driving vehicles and eco-friendly machines. It’s like reading about the future!”
Thanks to the funding from Rees Jeffreys Road Fund, blind and partially sighted young people will be able to learn about sustainable and micro-transport.
