Research conducted by a team of early career professionals has been published in Technological Forecasting and Social Change journal.
The project, The micromobility mindset: Socio-technical drivers of bike share scheme adoption in the UK” was the result of the collaboration between Nima Dadash-Zadeh, Niamh Mason, Oliver Stone-Houghton, Orla Bermingham and Montell Issah.
The collaborators were brought together through the Future Transport Visions Group, a special programme for transport early career professionals funded by Rees Jeffreys Road Fund. Funding for the cost of the project was also provided.
The study explores the public perceptions and socio-technical factors influencing the adoption of bike share schemes in the UK based on survey data from 643 individuals. The report identifies the key factors that might encourage the use of bike share schemes.
