Transport professional Adnan Zameer was one of the first people to receive a Ready for the Future grant from Rees Jeffreys Road Fund.
The award enabled Adnan, a civil engineer with Arup, to study Sustainability Leadership at Imperial College.
Adnan said, “Coming from a civil engineering background, the course gave me a new perspective on my role not just as an engineer, but as someone who can influence long-term, positive change in the sector. I now feel much more equipped to lead on sustainability conversations, support innovation, and think more strategically about how infrastructure can support environmental goals.”
“This experience has strengthened my confidence and clarity in where I want to take my career. I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned as I continue to grow in the highways and transport space. Looking ahead, I believe this program will be a cornerstone in my career development. It has sharpened my vision and provided me with the tools and confidence to help lead sustainability initiatives within my current role and future positions in the infrastructure industry.”
