The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation CIHT has launched a FREE to all e-learning course on Carbon Calculation and Carbon Accounting, supported by funding from Rees Jeffreys Road Fund.
The Introduction to FHRG Carbon Calculation and Accounting Standards course covers:
- Key legislative and regulatory drivers for decarbonisation affecting Local Highways Authorities (LHAs);
- Key concepts and terminology shaping efforts to decarbonise highways infrastructure;
- The basic principles and common challenges of carbon accounting including its role in the creation and delivery of decarbonisation strategies for LHAs;
- The value of LHAs adopting the new Carbon Calculation and Accounting Standard;
- The 8-step process for deploying the Carbon Calculation and Accounting Standard.
